OUR REQUEST
It is a pleasure for me to write to you today, to request a donation towards assisting Jamie Shepherd and his fundraising committee in their 9th Annual Bitch’n BBQ taking place on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from noon-midnight. Please accept our heartfelt thanks for all of your FANTASTIC past support. We issue charitable receipts upon request. Last year’s BBQ raised an AMAZING $4,440.00 plus donations of excellent beef, salads, beverages, buns and condiments for our homeless youth. As one of our supporters of this event YOU ARE TRULY AWESOME.
MISSION STATEMENT
STREET CONNECTION is an incorporated, non-profit registered charitable organization empowering at risk street youth (ages 16-24) by offering them the opportunity to make positive changes in their lives. We provide referrals, guidance, support and understanding in a safe, accessible environment.
SOME STATISTICS
Through your help STREET CONNECTION has assisted over 87,299 youth, delivering over 218,153 hours of service in London helping our homeless, hardcore street youth. Our dedicated volunteers are an integral part of this agency helping to leverage community needs by donating over 105,622 volunteer hours.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Volunteers work at the drop in centre at 258 Horton Street, London, Ontario, N6A 5K2; Mondays and Sundays from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.
WHO YOU HELP
YOUTH, who visit our drop-in centre are able to have hot and nutritious meals, take showers or baths, access washrooms and laundry facilities and obtain ‘peer support’ and direction as needed.
Your most generous support towards the 9th Annual Bitch’n BBQ allows Jamie Shepherd and his committee to assist us with London's most vulnerable citizens.
Your consideration is very much appreciated.
Respectfully yours,
